I shared a leisurely and impromptu wine date with a friend Friday afternoon (and into the evening). Throughout the hours of catching up and sharing personal whimsy, she led me to the blog of one of my favorite female vocalists, Tristan Prettyman.
I am copying some important words that Tristan shared, which she borrowed from a friend, that came from the Dalai Lama. I feel they are important words to spread. They have impacted my Sunday morning reflection.
The question: What surprises you most about humanity?
The Answer: “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
Happy Sunday. May it be filled with love and appreciation.
